HairStory

I have always wanted longer hair. I was one of those girls who used to tie a bath towel around my head and pretend it was my real hair and swing it around. I used to love when my mom kept m hair in braids, because I would swing it around my shoulders and play in it constantly. As I got older, I figured that has GOT to be a better way. Through a lot of stalking websites research, I found out that African American Hair CAN grow long! Over the years my hair has grown a lot, but I'm still on my quest for healthy hair. Here is my current regimen, or what I do to keep my black tresses swangin' in the wind.

MY CURRENT REGIMEN

They key to healthy haircare to me is keeping it SIMPLE

001. I Co wash (Means washing with conditioner instead of shampoo) my hair at least 2 times a week with Keracare Humecto Conditioner
002. I wash my hair with KeraCare Hydrating Shampoo once a week.
003. I don't detangle my hair, I let the shower/Jibere Shower Comb do it for me! They cost a dollar at Family Dollar, Walgreens, CVS, or Sallys
004. I follow up with a Deep conditioning treatment by putting Keracare Humecto Conditioner on my damp hair and sitting under the dryer for 20 minutes.
005. Most days, I wear my hair in a protective style such as buns, rollersets, banana clips, etc.
006. I moisturize my hair each night with a quarter amount of Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil in the Jar, and a seal the moisture in by then putting a dime amount of Olive Oil on my ends
007. When needed I use ORS Hair Mayo for protein. This is usually after a I get a relaxer
008. I relax my hair ever 10-12 weeks. (Stretching your relaxers by going 10 weeks instead of 6 weeks will help to keep your hair healthy and thick because it's a less chance of getting the relaxer overlapped.
